All TDCA Clubs, Sponsors and Umpire Association will be encouraged to enter teams of four into a maximum field of 36 teams( wear Club colours). Each Club must enter 1 team minimum. Following golf- lunch and season launch will be at Tgon Rec Res.

After presentations a compulsory Captains meeting (15mins) will be held-approx

2.30pm.

Event Rules:

4 Player Ambrose (Stroke Team Event) – Rules & Regulations:

Each player hits off the tee, the best shot is selected and all other players pick up their ball and place it, within one club length, alongside the best ball. Each person then hits a second shot from the same spot.

The best shot is again selected. This continues until the ball is in the hole. On the putting green the best ball is marked and the other balls are played from this position. One score is recorded on each hole; this is the sum of the best shots used throughout the hole.

There is only one requirement. During the course of the round all players’ drives must be used on a set number of occasions, three drives for each member of a team. Please mark the initials of whose drive you have taken on each hole in the result column on the scorecard.

Handicaps are calculated by adding those of all players and dividing the total by 8 in a four-ball team. The maximum handicap allowed for a male golfer is 28 in Ambrose. The net score is calculated by subtracting the exact resulting handicap so all those fractions count.

The score for the 18 holes is tallied and the handicap is deducted from that total. As an example suppose in a four-person team the handicaps are 5, 13, 22, and 27 which totals 67. Divide the total handicap by 8 leads to a team handicap of 8.375.

Nearest the pin, longest drive etc will be awarded.

Prizes will include some cricket orientated gear as well as other normal golf day awards.
